With a population of just 650,000, Montenegro is an enchanting gem of natural beauty and diverse landscapes. Despite its small size of only 13,000 km², Montenegro offers everything from snow-capped mountain peaks and dramatic, fjord-like hills to stunning, pebble-lined beaches along the Adriatic coast. Our tour departs from Dubrovnik, traveling south along the scenic Adriatic coastline, crossing the Montenegro border. The journey continues through the breathtaking Kotor Bay, Europe’s southernmost fjord, passing the charming towns of Igalo, Herceg Novi, Bijela, and Kamenari, with a relaxing stop in Perast, where we can admire two small islands with monasteries in the middle of the bay.
Next, we explore the UNESCO-listed town of Kotor, nestled at the base of towering cliffs. During our walking tour, we’ll visit the city’s key landmarks including Venetian palaces, Orthodox churches, St. Triphon Cathedral, and the impressive city walls and St. John Fortress. After a delicious lunch break in Kotor, we head to Budva, a vibrant coastal town known for its lively atmosphere, historic sites, and popular beaches. Jaz Beach, in particular, has hosted major events, welcoming global stars like Madonna and The Rolling Stones. Let our expert guides introduce you to Montenegro’s natural beauty, history, and exciting culture on this unforgettable day trip from Dubrovnik.
