After departing from Split, you’ll travel through the Herzegovina region, with panoramic views of the rocky hills, on your way to the ancient Ottoman city of Mostar. Known as “The window to the Orient,” Mostar’s captivating history will come to life as your local guide takes you through the Old Bazaar, where you’ll find medieval-style shops and craft workshops, as well as iconic sites such as the Karađoz Mosque and the Church of St. Peter and Paul. The highlight of your visit is a walk along the famous Old Bridge, built in 1566, offering magnificent views over the emerald Neretva River. You’ll also have the chance to taste authentic Bosnian specialties like ćevapi, burek, and kadaif, and sip traditional Turkish coffee. After Mostar, we’ll continue to Blagaj, a small village built beside the Buna River. Here, your guide will take you to the source of the river and the historic Tekija, an important monument from the early Ottoman period where dervishes once performed their rituals. After an enriching sightseeing experience, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant with stunning views over the river. The tour concludes with a scenic drive back to Dubrovnik, leaving you with memories of the natural beauty and cultural treasures of the region.
